A film critic, an actress and a director walk into a movie theatre. What do you get? More than the set up for a bizarre joke. It is was an amazing evening at the Hope at Home Film Festival.

Ben McEachen, Zenia Starr and Jason Perini joined Reel Dialogue’s Russ Matthews to share their unique perspectives on the film industry. This trio answered insightful questions about being Christians in the entertainment realm. Also, they shared their thoughts on the value of faith-based films and where they think the future of cinema is taking us.

The live audience asked questions from these fascinating insiders and had some fun hearing about their experiences with film and faith. There were a few sound a video glitches because of the live recording, but overall, this was a wonderful evening.

Bios: Zenia Starr: is a film and television actress, based in Australia. She was born in India and is fluent in Hindi. She has studied at NIDA Open, Sydney Actors Association and the Meisner Technique at the Actors Pulse. While in isolation, you can catch Zenia on the Stan series, The Gloaming.

Jason Perini is a director, writer and actor. Jason has a flare for comedic, short-form storytelling. His award winning work has screened online and at international film festivals including Cannes and Tropfest. Jason’s directorial debut feature film was ‘Chasing Comets.’ Some of Jason's acting credits include 'Top of the Lake' and 'Underbelly: The Golden Mile'. He was also the co-writer and star of the online Wallabies campaign for ASICS 'The Travelling Salesman' which was co-produced with the LADbible.

Ben McEachen: is the Deputy Editor - Eternity News at Bible Society Australia. What do you get when you combine a professional film reviewer, a theology degree and editing/management experience? Ben. Prior to his previous role at Eternity, he worked at Empire Magazine Australasia. Also, Ben freelanced as the sole film reviewer for several News Corp Sunday newspapers, and regularly contributed to various high-profile radio and TV programs.
