We live in a fake news era: Brexit, US elections, our own election. How could they get it so wrong?

So, who can we trust? How do we burst the fake news bubble and get the facts? Is it all on you?

Join us at the Edge as we hear from both sides: a journalist and a critic of the media as they show how we can leave the echo chamber, hear the truth and get a grip.

Speakers-

Scott Monk is an Australian author. Born in Macksville, NSW, but moved to Adelaide in 1996 to work with the Advertiser as a newspaper reporter and in 1999 won South Australia's Young Journalist of the Year Award for his commitment to youth affairs. He went on to work for The Australian newspaper in Sydney.

David Robertson is the current director of Third Space and was the associate director of the Solas Centre for Public Christianity. He also is interested in history, politics, theology, music, sport, art etc. For David, writing is a form of thinking out loud and trying to work out things.
