Heaven should only be for the smart

Unfortunately, this type of afterlife seems a bit elitist.
Topics

I recently noticed a comment someone made about who should be worthy of entering heaven. They said,

Religion should teach that only those with advanced and demonstrated intellect will be accepted into the afterlife.

Now this is an understandable and natural inclination - that there should be some merit to those who are accepted into an afterlife of eternal bliss. Heaven should only be for the smart.

But, this approach excludes many people - the less smart, less, capable - the intellectually disabled. Unfortunately, this type of afterlife seems a bit elitist.

Which makes Jesus’ offer radically different. For Jesus’ offer of heaven is not just for the smart or capable, but by his grace, his offer is open to the poor, the crippled, the blind, everyone. And I think that this kind of afterlife - with Jesus - would be much better.
