Remember when someone told you Shane Warne had died? I do.
52! It seems so young. 52 - that's around 19 thousand days.
Which makes it seem younger still. Our lives pass quickly, yeah.
Even if Shane had lived to 80, that's still less than 30 thousand days.
The Bible says "Teach us to number our days, so that we may have wise hearts." In other words, it's good to think about our mortality in terms of days. Days that won't last forever.
Warnie's death sobered my up. I might even get a heart check, to make sure my ticker's okay.
The heart check we most need though, is to make sure we have a wise heart, one that’s prepare for when our numbered days are over, whether at 52 or 82.
