The legendary rock band Queen once wrote a profound and haunting song ‘Who wants to live forever?’
Though we accept life as precious and billions is spent every year on healthcare to extend our lives, even so - ‘Who wants to live forever?’
John 3:16 says that whoever believes in Jesus shall not perish but have eternal life. Yet some don’t think that this is such a great offer - an eternal life of frustrations, tears and pain hardly sounds like good news.
But the eternal life Jesus offers is not just more of this life. Jesus promises a different quality of life - that those who believe in him will receive life, and have it to the full.
Which might make us really want to live forever.
