Lego is one of the world’s most popular toys.
There’s an estimated 400 billion Lego bricks in the world, it’s sold right around the globe and there’s even a popular TV show about Lego.
So why does it captivate us so much?
I think it’s partly because Lego allows us to express our imagination to make wonderful
‘creations’.
Humans love to create.
Indeed, famed fantasy author JRR Tolkien described humans as sub-creators - the refracted light - because he saw our creative impulse as refracting the light of the creative God in whose image we are made.
So maybe this is why Lego is so popular?
Because we are made in the image of the ultimate and even more powerful Lego Master.
