The Christmas Debate: Real or Fake?

Do we put up our fake Christmas tree or get a real one?
Topics

Real, or fake? That's the big debate we've had in our family the last few Christmases. Do we put up our fake Christmas tree or get a real one? In some ways, it doesn't matter too much—life doesn't depend on it.

But there are some things in life where settling for a fake has big consequences; like God, for example.

If what we believe about Him is fake, well that does matter! Which is why Christmas is so important—Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus, and Jesus claims to be God in the flesh. However, if He is a fake, there's no point believing in Him. In fact, there's no point really celebrating celebrating Christmas.

But if He is who He claims to be—God in the flesh—well, that has consequences.

So, this year, as you decide about a real or a fake Christmas tree,

why not also ask yourself the question of Jesus: real or fake?

That's a question that really does matter.
