Taylor Swift is dating Travis Kelce, from the Kansas City Chiefs. Taylor Swift was spotted at a Chiefs' game...and sales on Kelce jerseys surged by 400 per cent.

Taylor Swift was also seen eating chicken dipped into two sauces—ketchup and what Americans call "seemingly ranch". A viral photo of this moment sent "seemingly ranch" sales through the roof. Even the Empire State Building lit up in red and white, in her honour.

This is what I call the Taylor Swift Effect.

Anything linked to Taylor Swift surges in value.

In the same way, in Jesus, Christians enjoy the Jesus Effect, where we also surge in value.

In Jesus, we're a child of God. Jesus died for us—we're His treasure.

Jesus is proud to be spotted with us and to call us His friend.

But He'll pass on the ketchup and "seemingly ranch". He's already sweet enough.
