What You See is What You Get

In reality, is there a perfect person?
Topics

Another week, and another high profile person exposed for acting in abusive and harmful ways. This time, a person many people looked up to, trusted, and saw as a voice for the voiceless. It's just so disappointing when it happens again, and again, and again.

What you see is what you get? Rarely it seems these days.

Which is why I'm so glad my ultimate hope isn't in a broken, fallen human being who inevitably lets me down, but in the perfect man—Jesus Christ.

Jesus walked this Earth for over 30 years—healing people, eating with people, travelling with people, teaching people.

There was no chance for Him to pretend to be someone else. What you saw was what you got.

And what did people see? A perfect man who loved perfectly. So, next time someone you look up to disappoints you, why not look to Jesus?

He will never let you down.
