Paradox #1: ‘Just Chase your Dreams'

We’re told that we can have ‘our best life now’. So we pursue the Instagram-worthy life helter-skelter. Yet ‘living the dream’ didn’t deliver like they said it would – it’s not so dreamy after all. If you don’t get what you want you failed the dream; you just didn’t try hard enough. In the race to live your ‘best’ life you can always do better and are driven to constant comparison. But the wisdom of Jesus is that the best life only comes when we recognise and embrace our failures, and that everything we have is actually a gift.
